my toy has new blings

just bought my camera a canon 75-300mm III USM lens and a cheap ol’ flash (ok, i had to forego my vow that my canon will only have canon add-ons, it’s just that i got a nice bargain!)

1) sunpak flash. now i don’t have to worry about the colors and the bizarre spot that the built-in flash emits. now i can control the lighting and capture all the details of my subject. very helpful for post-shoot rendering.

before i got the flash, i took photos like this:

but now, i have something like this:

 

2) canon 75-300mm III USM. this is a telephoto lens. and this can start my career as a paparazzi. haha, kidding.

so from this distance, that an ordinary lens can take:

to this:

without moving even an inch from where i was initially.

cool, isn’t it?

and yes, it’s only a hobby…
