Success

So do I know that the event we had last weekend was a success?

This photo I took says it all.

Another accidental photo which will forever be in my favorite pics folder:

What a nice humble guy, for a rock star.

Look at how beautiful my country is…

First stop of my Visayan Caravan…

Puerto Princesa, Palawan

PPS 022

Made a stop-over at Coron to drop off some divers. Boohoo.

PPS 338Ate at this place called “Badjao” just outside of Puerto Princesa, and this was where my team and I witnessed the beauty of Palawan.

PPS 492

Then on our way to Narra, we saw this. Awesome, isn’t it?

PPS 502

But of course, it will never beat this.

I love my country… and I’m looking forward in exploring the hidden treasures that nature has to offer.

I’m in Palawan now for work, and will head to some other place in a few days. Not a lot of photos since it’s been a busy trip… and I miss home…

My “Maiden Voyage”: Visayas

June 7, 2009 SORD Leave a comment

So how was my tour of Cebu, Bacolod and Iloilo? Tiring, really. But I met a nice person named Mela, and although I wasn’t able to visit tourist attractions, I was able to witness only a few can during their lifetime.

Travelling by boat and plane makes me really anxious, but at the end of the day, I am thankful that I got over my initial fears.

On Friday, I head to Palawan. Woohoo!

Tomorrow, I officially embark on a journey

No really.

It’s really official, and it is a journey.

While I’ve taken a ship before, it’ll actually be my first time to ride one as an employee. I started my job at a passenger ship company a few weeks back and part of my job is to go around the country to manage events and promos – and tomorrow, as part of my training, I will spend 7 days riding boats, checking out all aspects of the operations and learning the business that I will be contributing to.

Am I excited? I should be. I like my job so far and I love going to different places. Plus, I know that being on a boat will give me a chance to enjoy my time because really, what else can I do for almost one entire day in a vessel?

And the photos! I can’t wait to take new pictures of my beautiful country.

But of course, like how I am whenever I’m about to go on a long trip, I’m anxious – that’s normal, right? Especially if it has been raining the entire day today… yes?

Will write about my experience soon.

Until then… Ciao!

Welcome home #6 and #7

The next time somebody tells me that I come down from my high horse…

February 9, 2009 SORD Leave a comment

…will get some high horse shit-load from me.

Being humble is really hard, I gotta tell you. And don’t expect me to brag about the humility that I have experienced – because honestly, it will be the death of me.

You see, bragging just rubs salt into the wound.

Especially if I had to be humble amidst fighting for what is right.

My faith in all that’s good has disappeared.
