i’ve been having bouts of insomnia since 2001, triggered by work, sustained by my anxious mind, over-active brain and restless body. it’s not as bad as heath ledger’s, however, it bothers me as it comes and visits during the least expected moment — for weeks i’ve had some semblance of rest, but now, all of a sudden and much to my dismay, i woke up 3 hours after i’ve fallen asleep, and i couldn’t shut my eyes anymore or else i won’t be able to make it to work on time.
my strongest wish is to have a peaceful, REM-ish, deep and long slumber, without any help from sleeping meds (yuck i hate them as it makes me groggy the next day).
it’s as simple as that.
