The tickets for the Glastonbury Festival of Contemporary Performing Arts, scheduled on June 24 to 28, are sold out. The said fest, my dear friends, is the largest music and performing arts event in the world. It not only features live musical acts, but also dance, poetry, comedy, cabaret, theater and even the circus – all of them could be found in the 80 or so tented stages spread on various parts of a 900 acre-park.
Within the park’s vicinity are displays of artworks by various artists of various statures. I got a glimpse of its magnitude last year when BBC streamed it live (watched the performances of John Mayer, Leonard Cohen and Buddy Guy) over the net.
This year’s headliner is Bruce Springsteen. Finally! From what I know, he has never headlined ever… and to think he’s Bruce Springsteen). Lily Allen is also included in the line-up.
